Welcome to the Metroplex!

The DFW metroplex is home to over 8 million residents–and we want to make them all laugh! DFW is now the United States’ fourth largest metropolitan area, so there’s no time like the present to pay us a visit and show us what you’ve got. Our city is home to a thriving comedy scene, and we hope that programming like Dallas Sketch Festival will help our home grown Texas talent to shine on an international level.

Our Venue

We’d like to extend a huge thanks to Dallas Comedy Club for being the venue for the first ever Dallas Sketch Festival!

Dallas Comedy Club is DFW’s #1 destination for all things comedy. The club opened its doors to the public in September 2021 on the former site of Dallas Comedy House, which closed its doors during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has become a sought after venue for touring stand-up headliners, as well as a home for local performers of all genres. Named the Dallas Observer’s Readers’ Choice Awards Best Comedy Club four years in a row, Dallas Comedy Club is honored to be the home for the first ever Dallas Sketch Festival.

Dallas Comedy Club is a 9,600 square foot multi-use entertainment and performance venue located in Dallas’ famed Deep Ellum, a historic district known for its vibrant arts scene and nightlife. Dallas Comedy Club features two theaters, two breakout rooms, a gorgeous solarium for gatherings, and a full bar and restaurant with an impressive menu.

About Deep Ellum

Established in 1873, Deep Ellum is a historic Dallas neighborhood known for its eclectic spaces and prominent public art displays. The neighborhood was home to a vibrant commercial district for African-Americans and European immigrants. Deep Ellum continues to be a crossroads for local culture with a vibrant music, food, and art scene.

Texas Comedy Festival is honored to contribute to the neighborhood’s history by collaborating with Dallas Comedy Club to bring live comedy to the area.
